Ikai Free Download Repacklab Ikai is a first-person psychological horror game drawing inspiration from Japanese folklore. Live the horror by the hand of its defining yokais and submerge into the superstitions of the past driven by a unique story and exploration. Ikai embodies the spirit of the classical psychological horror genre with a defenseless main character incapable of attacking the evil creatures. However, it explores a new sense of horror by making the player face the threats directly neither fleeing nor attacking. Every mechanic of the game is meant to raise this relatable feeling of helplessness and create a tense atmosphere. The slow, precise and natural movements as a way of interaction resemble real life’s to foster immersion in the uncanny world of Ikai. SEXY GAMES

Rumors have spread even through the most skeptical villagers, giving way to fear and hysteria. It’s not just a matter of gossip this time. The blood-stained leaves indicate that evil creatures are getting closer and closer to humans. It is believed that a new demon has turned up in the underworld. Its will is to cross the doorway into our world as soon as it finds what it is looking for. Such a situation requires the priest to head to the village, leaving the shrine under his niece’s control, the priestess. the crowd’s fear hasn’t reached the shrine far away in the mountains, where the priestess, Naoko, works as usual, too busy to worry. Sweeping and sweeping, time goes by, with or without the priest. Without giving much importance to this sort of demon and ghost stories she ascribes to fearful children.

You spend most of the game running around the halls of the temple

You spend most of the game running around the halls of the temple, and every room feels unique and well thought-out. If you like the look and aesthetics of feudal Japan, I believe they did a really good job portraying it here. Also, the sound and the ambience do an outstanding job setting the mood. Regarding the different yokais you’ll face through the game, I felt like some of them were too easy to get around and didn’t prove much of a threat. But it is still interesting watching them wander around and sneak past them. Some of them even change the layout of the temple and the environment, which was a really nice touch. As I said, most of the game develops around the same location, and the fact that as you progress through the story the layout kinda changes. Horror Story Hallowseed

helps it feel somewhat different every time. The varied puzzles and mechanics the game throws at you really enhances the experience, from writing seals to orientating an object to cast a specific shadow. The way of interacting with various objects and doors, pulling and pushing with your mouse, give it an “amnesia-like” feel that I truly appreciated. That said, there were a couple of puzzles I kinda felt like they weren’t defined to show the way to approach them, which might just be my problem, but anyway, after a minute of thinking they are actually pretty straight forward. Naoko leaves the shrine to get to the river before it gets dark. Villagers’ dreads seem to take shape in the gloomy forest. She keeps walking, increasingly tense, until her doubts are dispelled; but not her fears.

It has some great scares and the puzzles are decent and not too difficult.

It looks fantastic and there is a lot of detail in the game. The price is a bit much and depending how long the game is I think that could be an issue but so far it seem worth it. I did run into a bug at the well where I couldn’t interact with the rope to go down but it has an auto save feature (which is a huge plus) and once I quit and jumped back in it was fixed. The story is not bad but the lore pages for the various demons is awesome. I think it’s worth trying out. If you want to see some game play you can check out my video above of my first look at the game. She soon loses consciousness of her soul and body and falls to the ground; almost dead, almost alive. The shrine’s bell screams for help, but it is no longer a sacred place. Osiris New Dawn

Ikai Set in feudal Japan

Ikai has us take the role of Naroko. She is a young priestess who assists the priest of the shrine with his duties. Recently, there has been a sense by the locals that there is evil spreading throughout the land and the priest must go to protect them. After Naroko draws some talismans to provide protection, the priest leaves her alone to tend to the shrine while he is gone. What starts as an evening of laundry and cleaning quickly turns into a night of pure horror. Naroko must cleanse the shrine of the evil spirits called Yokai and discover the origin of this evil. In Ikai, we spend the majority of our time within the shrine’s walls, but we do get to explore the local forest, a cavern, and some twisted imaginings of Naroko’s mind. Oxenfree

The game has us solving puzzles, writing Japanese warding talismans, and finding hidden collectibles while getting rid of the spirits that are haunting the shrine. The puzzles themselves are pretty decent, nothing too challenging but can definitely make you think for a few minutes. I’d say one in particular had me sitting for about 15-20 minutes thinking about the solution. Some of the solutions require you to find certain objects, while others have you using a brush and ink to figure out patterns. Ikai is similar to games such as Myst but with more freedom of movement including being able to run and to sneak. The story itself is pretty interesting as well. As you progress through the game you find letters that were sent from your family members that provide you with a bit more clues about what is going on but I can’t explain much without spoiling.
