that produced generations of World Warriors! The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is, in my opinion, a fantastic time-capsule for those new to Street Fighter or old souls who want to relive the past. With 12 games, a few training modes and a fleshed out timeline of Street Fighter history, it gives you perspective on past games and what they gave us. So many unforgettable memories! I’ll be honest, I had never heard of the Alpha Series or Street Fighter 3. Playing through them was such a treat. I don’t like to talk about the first Street Fighter. Sagat can eat a bag of  This collection also got me into researching more retro style fighting games. The online is, unfortunately, pretty dead. But you’ll find some veterans still around to kick your ass from time to time.

This mode will be added in a day-one patch. The “Museum” is a collection of concept art, pitch documents, and “little-known facts” behind each game’s release. “Interactive Timeline” allows the player to browse through the 30 years of the series’ history and see how it has evolved. “Character Bios” provides the playable fighters’ backgrounds, stories, and personal traits, in addition to their sprites and animations in each title. “Music Player” provides several Street Fighter tracks. “Save States” allows the player to save their progress in single-player modes and resume at any time for any of the twelve titles. Containing 12 games from the Street Fighter series, the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection arrives onto Steam for all of your Super Turbo and 3rd Strike needs. This collection includes: 5 games from the SFII series, (World Warrior, Champion Edition, Hyper Fighting, SSFII, and SSFII Turbo), the 3 Alpha games (Alpha 1, 2, and 3), the 3 SFIII games (New Generation, 2nd Impact, and 3rd Strike), and the very first Street Fighter. All of these games are a blast to play through in their own way. The very first Street Fighter game is admittingly pretty mediocre, though it’s nice to at least see how the series kicked off. Online play for SFII: Hyper Fighting, SSFII Turbo, SFA3, and 3rd Strike is good for the most part. Local play is available for all of the 12 games. Street Fighter X Tekken Complete Pack

as well as training mode for the 4 games that have online. Each game still has their respective arcade codes, meaning you can play as Akuma in Super Turbo. Screen options and save states for each arcade mode. The museum section contains early sketches of the games and character bios, which is a nice little bonus. you can play the games in cabinet mode (Original), correct aspect ratio mode (Full) and full screen mode (Wide) as well as the option to turn on TV and arcade scanlines (In my opinion the TV scanlines make the games look great). XD Plus they added a load and save state for each game so you can leave the game you are playing and continue where you left off later. Pretty cool. Online mode with a bunch of expected options. Steam Reviews

this is a must-buy. Much like SNK’s collections, these ports all lack the extra features of home console upgrades. There are just a few options like a screen filter and view modes, but not much. However, it more than makes up for it in its vault of content. The games themselves are more like the centerpiece of a museum full of artwork, information and trivia, but they’re still fun to play and the added ability to play the best ones of each group online makes it even better. It’s well-optimized to boot. The 30th anniversary collection is actually well made, but it has some issues that may had avoided if they actually put it on from, there is not full DirectInput support, the game is build with Xinput in mind, The online has Region lock (because of steam). so u may nit find people playing even thought there is a decent communitty in this game, but taking that into account, the game is priceless the 12 games run amazingly, the training more are super helpfull and the online (once u are ina region that ur conection is Less than 100ms) is perfect. Highly recommend it. The four games that support online play are Street Fighter 2 Hyper Fighting, Super Turbo, Street Fighter Alpha 3, and Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. Yes, I’m surprised that SFA2 is missing too. For ranked matches it’s best two out of three, but there is a serious problem with this. The winner can change their character which should not be an option. Remember how I said it felt like they’re just using save states? This is what I meant, but they didn’t bother figuring out how to force someone to stick with their character.
